The Venue

A historic venue for modern love.

The Knox Wedding & Event Venue is located in the heart of the historic village of Merrickville, Ontario (just 45 minutes from Ottawa). This elegant and sophisticated property successfully marries the old with the new in pleasing ways. Once upon a time, it was a Presbyterian church built in 1861, but it has been repurposed to host ceremonies, receptions, and other significant events.

The Knox provides a stunning and unique indoor and outdoor space to be enjoyed by you and your guests!

  • A 1,200 sq. ft. indoor event space with 20 ft. ceilings and soaring gothic windows that provide ample natural light

  • The indoor event space features white walls with black gothic windows, providing a beautiful blank canvas

  • The exterior features original red brick with white trim around the feature gothic windows

  • Over 3,300 sq. ft. of outdoor space features a garden with string lights hung alongside the building from April-October

  • The venue is located a short walk from the charming shops, accommodation, restaurants and cafes that Merrickville has to offer

Capacity

  • The Knox is ideal for intimate weddings and events

  • Maximum 80 guests + vendors

  • We suggest:

    • Seated reception for up to 60 guests with dance floor

    • Seated reception for 80 without dance floor (strike tables to create dance floor after meal)
