Giving Back
At The Knox we strongly believe in the power of giving back both locally and globally. It has been our goal from day one to integrate a charitable component into our business and support charities that we align with. For every couple that gets married at The Knox, a donation will be made to a charity. Each year we will announce the charity we (and our couples!) will be supporting.
In addition, The Knox welcomes non-profit/charitable events of all kinds and is happy to extend a 20% discount to all registered charities that rent our space for their function.

2023: Making Play Possible
For every couple that got married at The Knox in 2023, a $50 donation was made to Making Play Possible for a total donation of $1,650!
Making Play Possible removes the economic obstacles that could prevent a child from accessing much needed physical, social, and creative opportunities.
Working with government, businesses, communities, families, and volunteers they ensure that the children and youth of Leeds-Grenville have access to recreational and athletic activities.
They give 350 children a year an opportunity to play team sports, dance, learn new skills, take life-saving swimming classes, learn music and other forms of self-expression.
2024: LGBT YouthLine
2022: Capital Rainbow Refuge
For every couple that got married at The Knox in 2022, a $50 donation was made to Capital Rainbow Refuge. We’re thrilled to announce that a total of $1,550 has been donated! Through volunteer-led sponsor groups, advocacy, community building and outreach, they help LGBTQI+ refugees and newcomers arrive and thrive in Eastern Ontario.
2021: The Leeds & Grenville Shoebox Project for Women
For every couple that got married at The Knox in 2021, a $50 donation was made to The Leeds & Grenville Shoebox Project. A total donation of $550 was made on behalf of our couples! The Shoebox Project’s mission is to share empathy, kindness and compassion with local women impacted by homelessness through the collection and distribution of gift-filled Shoeboxes (approx. $50 in value) and messages of support.
LGBT YouthLine is an anti-racist, youth-led organization that connects 2SLGBTQ+ youth (29 and under) across Ontario to resources and community through peer support, training, advocacy, and referrals. The Knox has donated $1,050 to support their efforts on behalf of ourselves and our 2024 couples!
